Farabi Research Highlights 1.1.0 — BlogHash automatic placement

INSTALL / UPDATE
1. WordPress → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
2. Select farabi-research-highlights.zip, install, and activate.
3. If version 1.0.0 is installed, choose Replace current with uploaded and
   activate if necessary. The plugin uses the same post type and metadata;
existing saved papers are retained. No theme-file edits are required.
4. Use the integrated PubMed Focus Reader 1.4.0 to send your first paper.

AUTOMATIC HOMEPAGE CAROUSEL
Enabled by default. Once at least one paper is saved, the carousel appears
before the main content/posts in BlogHash through bloghash_before_content.
Verified against the official BlogHash 1.0.30 index.php and page.php templates.
On the default latest-posts homepage this is above the latest-posts list.
On a static homepage it appears before page content; it also appears on the
first posts-index page. It is hidden on paginated pages and on other articles
and archives. BlogHash child themes work when they retain the parent hook.

Tools → Research Highlights provides an automatic-display checkbox for
Administrators, plus manual paper submission and deletion for users who can
publish posts. Disable automatic display if using the optional shortcode
[farabi_research_carousel] on the same page. No shortcode is needed for BlogHash.
Custom page-builder templates that replace the BlogHash hooks may require
additional placement work.

CARDS
Only the reviewed title and conclusion are shown. Titles open the corresponding
PubMed paper in a new tab. Horizontal scrollbar, arrow buttons, and mobile
swipe are supported. Conclusions remain readable in full, without truncation.

STORAGE
Keeps the 50 most recently submitted papers; sending the same PMID updates that
card and its recency. Paper 51 removes the oldest saved highlight permanently.
All code/assets and highlight records reside on your host. No remote carousel,
font, AI service, or JavaScript library is required. PubMed links are external.

CONNECT THE EXTENSION
Requires WordPress 5.6+ with HTTPS and Application Passwords enabled, PHP 7.4+.
Create an Application Password in Users → Profile using an Editor or
Administrator account. Enter it and the username in Focus Reader → Website
settings. The extension sends reviewed data to:
https://farabiretina.com/wp-json/farabi-research/v1/papers
The API permits POST only to authenticated users with publish_posts capability;
GET returns the public saved cards. Authentication is handled by WordPress.
Do not use your normal WordPress password in the extension.

CACHING / SERVER SETTINGS
Clear your homepage/CDN cache after sending if a new card does not appear.
Security plugins may need to allow this REST endpoint and Application Passwords.
The server must forward Authorization headers to WordPress.

VALIDATION
PHP and JavaScript syntax checks passed. Isolated WordPress-function tests cover
automatic hook registration, capability checks, invalid input, duplicate update,
50-paper retention, import serialization, asset loading, pagination/display
toggle, escaped cards, and text preservation. These tests use simulated
WordPress functions, not a live database. Live theme rendering and authenticated
publication to your website still need checking after installation.
